ALLAMANO BOYS SECONDARY SCHOOL

First and foremost I would like to thank our Almighty creator for the peaceful gift of life that He has granted unto us as Allamano community. Allamano is a boy’s secondary school, in Tharaka Nithi County, Kenya. The school is vested in rich catholic culture, making the best faith based school within the region. The school is under the Diocese of Meru. Christianity is the dominant religion in the school, however, we co-host students from other religious sects such as Islamic religion. There two Christian’s movements in the school, there is the Y.C.S and the Christian Union. The two movements working hand in hand with the school administration ensures proper spiritual growth of the Allamano community members either through proxy or by extension.
The students of Allamano are good students who are academically oriented. This has enabled the school to produce good results over the years since its inception. The students comes all over the country, and each has been accorded the respect and dignity of his culture. We embrace the doctrine of brotherhood. Cohesion and unity is the driving force propelling us to greater heights. The students enjoy good learning environment as the school is located in a beautiful, peaceful serene.
Our principal, Fr. Patrick Karani is a peoples’ servant. He has ensured that the students and the staff gets the maximum support necessary for their future pursuits. He has brought many developments in the school to ensure that teaching and learning process is not curtailed in any way. He is a good role model besides being the spiritual leader of the school. I cannot forget to mention and appreciate the efforts of our deputy principal Mr. Richard Odo, who has ensured that the school rules are followed to the latter. He is able to manage the school whenever the principal is out on official duty(s).
The school has a good working teaching staff. The teachers are highly qualified and they give their best to ensure that every student reap good fruits of education. They are well organized and this has been supported by our able principal.
There are various co-curricular activities especially soccer and athletics. These assists us the student to grow both mentally and physically strong.

As I conclude, it’s worth noting the following quotes;
 Life is boring if God’s purpose is not discovered.
 Willing heart sees thousands opportunities while unwilling heart sees thousand excuses.
 A man is not defeated until he is defeated in his mind.

ALLAMANO TEACHING STAFF
The academic success of a student is highly determined by the kind of teacher (s) he or she is exposed to. At Allamano Boys Secondary school, this has been put into consideration. We have qualified teachers attending to the students. Their work rate is good. The teachers are always present in the school and they attend to their duties. Professionalism of the teachers is extremely good. The professional documents are up to date.
Teaching pedagogies are always universal and flexible. Teachers utilize student teaching and learning approach. However, this at times is corroborated with teacher-student teaching method. Students are always guided on the best way to achieve academic excellence.
Teachers are highly motivated by the school principal, Fr. Patrick Karani. They are given a lot of support both financially, materially and most importantly spiritually. We have the most gender balanced teaching staff. This has gone well with the constitutional requirement of recruitment.
We look forward to a better tomorrow, for today will not be the same as tomorrow and vice versa.
Thanks.
